That film is an adaptation of the children’s book of the same name, directed by Lasseter’s old colleague Carlos Saldanha. Saldanha is also the director of Rise of the Guardians and Rio, so he’s no stranger to animation or working with Lasseter. Animation is an endlessly fascinating field. It’s also an industry that’s constantly changing and evolving. The hiring of John Lasseter for a key position at Skydance reflects how the industry is always moving forward.
